At Laughing Waters Farm, where we host our Soul Journeys with Horses annual Retreats, we share in the wonderful company of Kirsten Neke and her generous Dancing Horse herd of 7 horses. Here the herby smell of fynbos and loud rasping call of Cape sugarbirds, accompanies the peaceful sense of being at one with the earth and her bounty of nectar and sweetness. The farm sits fronted by the back of the Akkedisberg mountain, creating an ancient sense of belonging and grounding, against whose slopes the horses graze and play while watching the Protea flowers mature.
